Hello everyone

First time posting and wondering if anyone could help me figure out why my land-rover 110 has lost its drive?

Driving down the motorway and noticed a funny smell for around 5 mins and then had total loss of drive.

Got recovered and switched the vehicle off and put it in 1st gear and checked underneath and the front prop was trying to move ever so slightly then tried every other gear and the same thing happened.

The slave must have been leaking ever so slightly as well as the level was low.

I thought it was the clutch so once home stripped it down and found nothing wrong with the clutch at all.

could it be the transfer box?

many help would be great

Also whilst the engine was out I placed the vehicle in gear and pushed it backwards and forwards to see if the driveshaft spun to check if it was the gearbox but it spun fine

Do you know if the diff lock actually works? Just moving the little gear lever does not make the lock engage, a spring inside does that when splines line up. If not used regular it can stick.
