110 LT77 Gearbox wanted to borrow or buy a cheap good one.

I am planning on fitting an LT77 to the arse end of my 2.0 Perkins Prima TD then throw the hole lot into my coiled 80. I already have the bellhousing and aquired a so called good Disco box with t-box.

Pulled my Disco box apart today and found the output shaft and t-box input are stuffed. Priced up the bits and its gettign expensive, £150 to have the box stripped to fit the input I already have. Then theres the shaft @ £60 and the input for £50.

Basically I am on the scroung for an LT77 defender/110/90 with the short bellhousing to measure and compare my parts. Only need to borrow one unless it looks a goer then would be looking for a good one to buy.

Any offers, I can bring the bits to you to test distances etc.

I have a disco Lt77 but I can tell you now that the gearboxes are the same it's the bellhousing and input shaft that's longer on the disco Oh and the gear linkage assembly
 
I already have the LDV bellhousing which came of a 2wd LT77, this mates up the the TD engine I already also have. Ideally I just want to fit this bellhousing on to the defender LT77 to see if I can use the defender input shaft. If a no goer I will then evaluate if I can make the adaptor bit to convert it.

If all else fails I will get another disco box with good o/p shaft and input gear, pull it apart and fit the bits I need.

I did look at fitting a series 3 box but need the 230 t-box to run my PTO for a winch.
 
i am in huddersfield and have the lt77 with short bellhousing/input shaft welcome to view measure even buy if ya want, complete with t/box all ready to fit or measure £75 buys it
or just measure it i'm easy . Martin
 
also note on disco box gear lever and hi-lo are wrong way round for a defender series etc
bear this in mind, mine that is spare is defender style not disco lever fouls seat base if disco one is used IF YOU WANT TO VIEW /MEASURE/BUY .PERSONAL MESSAGE ME
