I am removing my fuel tank so as to fix rear crossmember. Question is - The white electrical connector to the fuel sender - is it just a pull off. Mine is tight and I don't want to break it if there is some hidden tab or something else holding it.

If anyone has any other advice on removing or refitting I would be pleased to hear from you.

Looks like this one.

its best to remove the sender unit before removing the tank and fit back after refitting, i support with a jack whilst undoing the 2 front (17mm socket ) and 2 rear (13mm socket)theres a return pipe in the center of top the tank 2 x 14mm spanners needed and tow bar support bars need removing

So that is the single nut at the right of the image I posted? There will be a seal I guess - will need a new seal?

Rear bolts gone as is the crossmember. 2 front are loose. Tank is well supported.

how far does it drop before I can reach the top

theres 2 nuts one on the sender (the feed for lift pump) and the return on top of the tank
just drop the rear till you can get at the pipe
