110 200tdi Bulkhead swap. Putting in a galved donor in good condition. Any tips on issues to look for and especially anything to improve on (sound deadening etc) would be really appreciated. I'm planning on painting it off the vehicle (Epsom Green) budget allowing.

Check the flap hinge tubes are clear.
Check rivnuts are in place and don't spin when tightening the bolts. From memory they are on the steering column engine side and fuel filter on a 200 TDI. Seam seal everything engine side after primer. Wax cavity after painting.

Re' sound proofing Dynamat and/or Silencoat are both excellent. I completed mine...floors, footwells, seat box, doors and rear bulkhead when I refurbished my 200tdi. It's now a great place to be, still 200tdi noisy, but one can have a respectable conversation with the passenger/s without shouting. Also think about under bonnet Dynamat pre-cut kit
