Foley are a long established dealer in Land Rovers, so yes I think they have sold a car before. Perhaps the fact it is in Africa makes a difference. I believe Foleys have specialised in vehicles for use abroad.

i just realised it is foley overland.

Just because they are a long established dealer dosent make them right though does it? Those prices are for people who have no monetary values and no concept of the real world and what goes on in it.

Anyone who spends £10K on a disco 1 needs there head looking at.

If is in africa, then its been used in africa in harsh conditions thus detracting from the price not adding to it

The price on that prolly isnt far off, not found any others for sale over here, but in the US they are going from £50K for a runner to £100K+ for minters

Theres a red one in the motor museum down the road as well as a limited edition john cooper works mini with only 8 miles on the clock!

A Jag E type and a whole load of other cool things like a De Lorean

Avoid Foley's they are sh*t and overpriced.

Last time I went there they had a 300tdi for sale for £16K, 160,000 miles on the clock.

It had a galv chasis and snorkel but the job was shoddy, new paint job was flaking and bubbling a few weeks after it had been done, they fitted a sun roof (WHY!!!) which was already leaking and so there were mold spots on the seats forming. When I asked the bloke if he was gunna sort out the leak before he sold it he said that all sun roofs in land rovers leak so no! I said you cant sell someone a 16 grand car that leaks

Also said it was fitted with a split charge system and two batteries as it has a winch, had a peek under the passenger seat and guess what, only one battery!

I'm sure someone out there has had a good experience with them, but my advice would be to steer well clear.

Same advice i was given as well.

Anyone who wants there motor prepared to the highest standards should be doing it themselves anyway so they know its done right.

I dont see the shock horror to be honest, they are way overpriced, always have been but I'd rather buy from them if I had the cash than some muppet tinkering with his ''it's just a big mecanno set'' on his front lawn.
Just my tuppence worth, although if I was a Foley it would probably be just my 260 quids worth.
