109 station wagon

hi evreyone,
Iv just broght a 109 station wagon restoration project which is fitted with a diesel on english plates but i want to register it in france, but land rover france won't suply me with a letter of conformerty (which i need for registration) if its not totaly the original set up, and i don't want to go back to petrol. So if anyone has a total wreck of a diesel series 3 109sw would they sell the v5 or does anyone know another way round the system????
