Hello
I have a 109 Station wagon that needs new sills and B / C post,
Just wondered if any one knows if a defender side section will fit directly in place of the series ones?
They look to be the same aside from the door seal edge and I assume door sizes etc will be the same but it would be good to have this confirmed by someone who has done the swap before I buy a set of defender sills.

Many Thanks

Thanks for the replies, I have since gone with the 110 sills, so for anyone else considering it they can be used, all be it with a little adaptation or as said above YRM do some repair panels

Because the defender B post has a single lip for the door seal rather than the L shape on series I decided to fit a one part door seal all around so I will have to adapt the upper body to take that seal, probably have to cut the lip off, and I found the C post to be slightly further back than I needed so I had to cut a slice out with a grinder and re weld it. Other than that its not to bad a job, I've sent it away to be galvanised so hopefully it will fit when I finally get to the point of bolting it all together again:)

I looked at the YRM parts, they are not bad and if the metal is reasonably sound I would probably go that way and keep the originality but my B and C post are a bit too far gone to be worth repairing

Forgive my ignorance but what do you mean by B & C posts?
Hi
A post being the bulkhead upright post that the front door hinges bolt to, next back just behind the front doors B post, and C post is just behind the rear doors (on a 5 door station wagon vehicle) a 2 door landy only has A and B
