hi all, ive just sold my 3.5 RR and am looking at buying a 109. the one im interested in is 1965 2a which has had a galvanised chassis fitted at some point along with a replacement bulkhead, the bulkhead would appear to be from a series 3 as it has the later dash. my question is, is there anyway to tell wether its actually a 2a and not a 3 on earlier plates/v5 which i guess is fairly common ? thanks in advance

With chasis and bulkhead having been changed no real way of telling, you just have to go with the vin plate, however 65 2a would have headlights in the rad grill, gearbox would have syncro on 3/4 only, diff would have filler plug in its housing not axle case,2a would not have heater vent in left wing, original steering wheel would be wire spoked but all these things could have been changed as well after 46 years.

cheers tottot, its in nice nick so ill go with it i think. but its as i thought, hard to tell as most of these things could have been changed over the years.
