Has anyone ran there wheel bearings in one shot and is still o.k.? I just gave myself a pat on the back for completeing a whole swivel renewal for the first time but realised I completed it using only one shot and some remainder of the original bearing grease and am thinking I should have used a heavier grease for the wheel bearings. Am I screwed or is this going to be o.k.?
p.s. I have done a search first and got mixed views so just wondered has anyone ran one shot only for any length of time.

you could run wheel bearings on ep90 and theyd last as long as using grease ,just keep an eye on hub seal as its not designed to hold fluid though can be replaced with one that does

oh right, its just I have packed the swivel and wheel bearings in 1 shot Grease so wondered will it take it or is one shot not thick enough even though it is shock resistant and supplies the swivel bearings

.Volvo 44 tonner tractor units use oil filled front hubs and they are never a problem, better than grease as they provide instant lubrication even when below zero temps.

:)

Right , so I'm a bit thick...ok very thick. So by that then if oil is ok for the bearings then one shot should be more than up to it?

If its good enough for the swivel joints (ball bearings under load) then its good enough for wheel bearings I would say:)
