Arse!
had / have +1 shocks on my 90, one broke at a garage so a substitute was fitted. I don't think the substitute was +1, it looks stock.
I also have OE heavy duty springs, now my 90 sits 1.5 or more inches lower on the side that the new shock was fitted and the opposite rear corner is cocking up like it wants to take a pee.

Stupid question time, a plus 1 shock has 1 inch more of travel does it not? Or would it make the vehicle sit higher than normal on OE springs?

If so, does anyone even make +1 dampers anymore? All I can find is +2.

Sounds like you have answered your own q. by experimentation, mate! :D

And IIRC you aren't supposed to change one shock anyway, I think they should be renewed in pairs ;)

See that's the thing, I cant see a shock pushing the vehicle up, I always thought the springs did that.
So, does anyone do +1 shocks anymore? Will +2 shocks make the vehicle look like its doing a wheelie?

I would have thought the shocks would have no effect on the vehicle height only it's articulation?

That's what I thought as well, the problem being the vehicle went in for a new radius arm bracket to be fitted on the axle and came out sitting much lower on that corner, so I'm hoping its just the shock that is doing this.

Thinking about it,Marmaduke is right, the shock shouldn't really affect the ride height as it is near the middle of its travel at that point

I dont see how a radius arm bracket can alter the ride height either, they didn't weld on a new spring mount bracket at the same time did they?

Another thing! Assuming they removed the radius arm to change the bracket. Did they lower the vehicle to the ground before doing up the radius arm fasteners?

Dont know, The new shock that went in wasn't a new one so it could just be worn out? I dunno.
The shock on the other side is a Bilstein b4 heavy duty, I was told by t6he guy who gave them to me that they were +1 but that's all I know about them.
Ive had both wheels off and its up on axle stands, both sides look the same unless Im missing something, I jacked the chassis up and there is still travel in the new shock, the springs are going on for 10 years old now so they could be tired.

Reused the old one but it looks to be sitting right, its looks the same as the other side.
