Hi i own a 1999 1.8k series freelander which has developed a problem it started about 5-6 weeks ago after driving aprox 50-60 miles engine sudenly died no power at all like the car had been switched off but tacho still read engine speed before i got to hard shoulder all power returned and was ok for further 50 miles.
intervals started to shorten till recently vehicle always starts from cold runs fine but after 4-5 miles fault reocurs car will idle all day but will not rev, switch off for 20 secs all ok again for 1 min then returns to fault.
replaced fuel pump cleaned all fuel lines, replaced coil pack and rotor arm, all electrics clean and in good condition, earth points all ok, any ideas please ????? :doh:
