03 defender window wiper arm removal

I've taken the nut of the thread but cant figure out what I need to do next to remove the wiper arm. What's the next step as it's beginning to become frustrating. The arm is stuck solid so I'm wondering if there's something I need to release further.

The arm is on a tapered splined shaft so needs leverage to remove it. Wiper arm pullers are cheap and save causing damage.
