02 sensor ????

hi all are all p38 4.0 and 4.6 02/lambda sensors the same size fitment if not what size fitment should my 1998 r reg have thanks

Would have thought all are the same, all 02 sensors are the same as they messure oxygen at 800 degrees c (if memory serves) just different number of wires,(jap ones maybe a smaller thread). you can get universal ones and just cut and solder the wires.

Just put one in my 1995 4.0 and the motor factor comented that they were all the same.... still best part of 50 notes though

what is the thread/nut size as not with the car and wanted to order some today

As far as I know they ar different, check out Island 4x4... various ones, plus you really need an OE as they vary in length to the aftermarket versions , the aftermarket are not long enough [ I believe ]

rite just removed one and they are a 17mm nut and have the following wrote on them
sagem 04l5001.....ntk japan 4ls it may be 04ls001 my poor handwriting lol also got it running and unplugged the maf and took it for a drive but struggled to keep it running so would think that the maf is running ok or am i wrong and any advice on where to buy these 02 sensors CHEAP lol
