sounds like to many people are having transmission problems with fairly low miles, especially on the FL. I often wonder if at least some of the problem could be this recommended oil. when we switched to merc V and atf4 in all vehicles, our customer problems with trannys all but stopped. If there were minimal tranny issues on these vehicles I could see being faithful to this fluid, but after looking through all these forums I am considering trying the merc V in our freelander, which is also synthetic, the tech support for many of the oils, including amsoil have said the only reason theirs is not recommended is because of the lack of testing. anyone with some input?

The n402 is recomended for the auto jatco box ,not the f/rear diffs, dont know enough about using another oil , would not want to take a risk unless i knew for sure another product was better. . .
