Far away from you!!
I have had a search and found some helpful threads explaining axle weights and gross vehicle weight which has helped me. I still have a question though.

I want to buy 0.5m3 of gravel from my local jewsons to sort something in my garden. They want £18 to deliver on a truck. The jewsons is 2.1 miles from my house, no hills or anything, it's just down the road.

Will 0.5meters cubed of dry gravel fit in the back of a 90 ( I have a soft top) and will the fender carry it? To save me the delivery charge as I am tight……

I *think* 1meter cubed of gravel weighs 1552kg so 0.5m3 is about 700odd kg.

Will this be ok?

I am not worried about getting it out the fender as I can handball it with bucket, and jewsons can lift it in at their end.

I have XD rear suspension courtesy of the army, dunno if this makes a difference.

Cheers

Ed

I used to load 1.1tonne no probs in the back of my CSW 110 , so a 90 will cope ok for 2 miles , pump the tyres up tho , so it doesnt sqirm around too much

ok will eyeball it first though before committing, i wasnt concerned about the suspension but more worried about my already bashed up tub crumpling.....

ok will give it some thought

I would have taken it for 2 miles. Seems like a lo for the gravel to weigh. What is it pea shingle?

Go to a decent Builders Merchant!
Jewsons are a bunch of robbing bastards.

My Builders Merchants charge £7 to deliver as many Dumpy bags as I want anywhere within a 10 mile radius. 10 - 20 miles it's £12.

#### jewsons

TP or Bradfords.

Jewsons are robbing lazy bastards

I think the official figure for a 90SW is just over 600kgs and for pick up is around 750kgs.
110 pick up is around 1100kgs
