£50+vat for fitting two airbags - great value.

Just been quoted £50+vat labour for fitting two new airbags (Dunlops bought from Island4x4 on fleabay for £120 the pair).

Great price from my local indie - James Tennant in Okehampton Devon. Anyone else local needs bags done - now seems like a good time.

It would have cost me more than that buy a trolley jack and axle stands !!

Don't want to burst yer bubble but I got 4 changed for £40 all in.no doubt someone will be along to say they got it cheaper by doin them themselves.

I changed four for nothing.

I know, i know - but I don't have any firm, flat ground to do it, don't have any of the jacks, axle stands, tyre irons etc - so all in all I don't think it is a bad deal, plus County Landrover wanted over £500 for the same job and would no doubt have found something else that I 'needed' done at great expense.

You own a Land Rover and more inparticularly, a Range Rover P38 and you don't have jacks/stands and large persuaders....

You are either very optimistic or just a little crazy...

£50.00 plus Vat is not bad i suppose in this day and age. But i'll bet if you pay cash the Vat man never sees the ten quid.

I'll have you know I am fully equipped for P38 ownership. I have a few basic tools, a copy or RAVE and for the major jobs - a box of swan vestas..................

Bet it was for the fronts !!!

Nope, two rear bags fitted (plus work warranted - all the better than me faff around)

As the rears can be a heartbreaker..especially if they have aluminium end caps, you ain't done bad !! At that price, he would probably do the fronts for a fiver.

Certainly cheaper than the 530 Swiss
francs I paid this summer for a rear bag
and fitting.

The Swiss must make realy good telescopes, they saw you coming from a long way away with that one.
