Hi all right ive got a bit of a probelm and its stopped me firmly with the end of my re build.

Ive got around to sorting out the exhaust on my 90 and i cant see where and how i can get it to fit as the gear box X member is inthe way. i have fitted a 3.5 EFI V8 and the down pipes are in such a shape and postion that i cant see how i can get the exhaust pipes past the X mamber and also to lead the exhaust past the right hand side of the gear box. Because ive put a EFI engine from a RRC the down pipes are the twin ones and seem to seem to come away from the manifoud at a 45Dec angle unlike the carb engine that has the single down pipes that come straight dowwm and the bent at a 90dec angle to the Y section ( i have put a pic of the older down pipes and the ones i have)

Has anyone had this problem? i think that im going to have to put a pair of the older type manifoulds on do i can use the older type of down pipes.
Also the Gear box X member looks to far forword so when the front Axel moves down the front prop will hit the X member. i might be wrong though as im not sure how far the do move down when at there max.

Has anyone had any problems like this with there 90 V8. all the running gear is out of a RRC so thats a Lt77 and the longer Bell housing but ive had no probles at all infact i think its better so far bar this exhaust problem.

I would find it a great help if some one could take a pic of the under side of there V8 90 so i could see what i should look like. if someone has got the older type of manifoulds and would like to swap for some EFI ones and down pipe + Y section then im up for swaping.

This is the last step in my re build once ive done this i can get it MOT

is there no way you can chop/cut them and use exhaust flex pipe to modify them.

lol i wish i could leave the xross member out but i cant can i. ive been looking at some flexi pipe and that might do the job but looks chippy to me

this is the Y pipe on my 3.9 110 with the same round cross member.

Yes Poah thats a differant shape mine does not have the bends were the section fits on to the down pipes. i think im going to have a look at modding the X memeber and using some Flexi pipe. is flexi pipe ok for MOT?
