can any 1 help, ive got a series 3 88 and a 1990 disco v8.i want to transfer v8lump,gearbox and both axles but keep leaf springs (possible) is it all possible and hw much wrk is it. would it be easier if i change s3 to coils

cut the disco chassis down to 88 inch fit a rear xmember and 88 outriggers transfer the body. P.s you will need an SVA even if you change the engine and axles thats enough points for an SVA which if are as strict with hybrids as they are with westfields a series 88 will not pass anyhow. we had to file down switches as the radius of the corners were too sharp. Safe enough for production vehicles but not good enough for an SVA.

If you want a 90 go and buy one.
'Tis the ultimate conclusion to the question, that crops up on teh Series board time & time again.... basically you take a clapped out old disco, and a ratty series and end up melding the two into something that is a clapped out disco in ratty series cloths, takes months if not years to complete, if at all, gets tied up in knots of red tape trying to make it legal (or giving up & running it as a 'ringer) and saving yourself neither time nor money over buying a factory 90.
And if you cant afford a 90TDi then buy an earlier 90, with whatever engine it has in it, and swap that for the Disco lump. A swap that can easily be done in a week-end.... Oh, & the disco axles & box should be like for like replacements too if you want, and you wont have to hack chassis or body-work or run the gauntlet of the SVA.
