would this boost control and gauge work?

hello, i am looking for a boost gauge for my 1992 200tdi defender and can across this on ebay would this work and be suitable or should i look elsewere? cheers

hahahaha! who makes the guage? Motor meters? I bet they are high precision instruments.

It is just a bleed off valve, Its prob set for the right pressure though. Thats all they are, allows you to adjust the in-line flow of air for the turbo.

I dont think its really necc. on a defender. why would you want to control your boost? surely you just want it to work well. Its not like a TDI is "out of control" on full pressure is it? Just buy a guage, set it up and adjust the fueling/boost pressure if you feel you need it. the only thing that thing will do is allow air OUT of the system, reducing pressure, reducing turbo boost.

i have also been looking at similar gauges. Are all the gauges available for sale, suitable for Defenders?? i have a feeling i read on here a while back u have to make sure that it is a certain type

Yes! Mines 2 bar and after a bit of tweaking it makes just under 1.5!
