Hey guys, im doing the out riggers this weekend and the plan is to jack the 90 up and put axle stands under the chassis and the axle and remove the radius arm to gain a bit more room to work the grinder.

Is this likely to lead to problems?? or shall i just struggle on with the limited space?.

Ta

looks like it will give a bit more leeway to attack the outrigger with the grinder? or is this not the case?. better to be called a twot now rather than takin the feckin thing off n finding it dont make a **** of difference haha

Remember the drivers side chassis will have a loom going through it - don't melt it!

I use the hose technique - whereby I ran the garden hose through the chassis while I welded and when doing the lowest parts I did them in quick short bursts to avoid heat build up.

OR

Remove it from there completely and run it somewhere much more sensible. I only have rear lights so I am going to one day take it out the chassis and solder on a length of trailer cable, run that to the back and solder it all back up. 1 single cable with a nice load of insulation round it.

It's quite an easy job tae remove the rear loom;)
Ah just marked off what wires connected to where, removed the fuel sender wires, unclipped the n/s wires and pulled it through to o/s chassis hole, pulled the o/s loom down tae chassis hole, connected the loom tae a roll of cable (rope/wire/string would do), marked off where the wires joined to the main loom at the front, disconnected thum and pulled the lot through leavin' enough cable stickin' out the back to pull it all back again...

Even better with two folk doin' it, one tae pull and the other to help the loom through the holes in the chassis;):D
