illuminated rocker switch

hi,
can anybody help me please i am wiring up 2 x 55w spots on my 90 and have got an illuminated switch. I know how to do it using a non illuminated switch but this one has 3 prongs on the back instead of 2

is that the case if i'm using a relay do i still connect the live direct to the battery, sorry to be an arse

doh!
yu connect the common to a power source - battery - fused system - lighting circuit - whereever yu want - it goes thru the switch to either a relay, or the lights, but the switch is unlikely to carry the current - with the the switch switched "on" the light comes on if the other contact is earthed.

In the drawing above....

1) is power
2) is lights
3) is earth for warning light
