Hi- if it is the friction plate stuck to the flywheel/pressure plate-take off the floor area over the bellhousing n pour boiling water into either the timing hole or the gear selector bracket hole over the clutch assembly-this may-thru uneaqual expansion-free the stuck plates-no guarantee but worth a shot.hi all, can anyone help me with a clutch problem. i have owned my series 3 swb for about 10 years now and love it to bits. for one reason or another she was off the road for over 3 years without been touched (shameful i know ) she started first time off a jump start & new fuel and i was totally chuffed
. problem is i have pressure on the clutch pedal but cannot engage any gears. she is desperately waiting to go for an mot so need this sorted a.s.a.p hopefully without dropping the gearbox. she is a 1972 2.25 petrol . many thanks for any tips..
