Hi all,
Anyone close by me with software to clear my Traction Failure?

I had put disco 2 hubs on but the sensors threw up an ABS and traction Failure. I've reverted to the proper P38 hubs and the ABD failure has cleared but I'm left with the traction Failure.

Booked into Staffordshire 4x4 but that isn't till a week Tuesday

Help!

Not sure but I think it should clear itself if the fault is fixed. You need a Nanocom to see what is going on.

My local garage has an up to date snap on diagnostic tool and it has cleared all the faults in the memory. It shows "no faults" but the digital readout when turning on the ignition still says "traction failure" and my ABS and TC lights are on.

Snap on Diagnostics may not work reliably on the P38. Sounds like a sensor is not pushed fully home. Have you driven it?

Have you driven the car yet? Go for a lap around the block and see what happens. Might display Traction Failure when you turn the car off but on next start up it should be cleared.

I'm going through this at the moment, random traction abs lamps but 0 faults...
Beginning to think I've got corrosion on a plug somewhere as it just randomly comes and goes and under no particular circumstances 😵

Hmm, perhaps it should. It isn't doing so though.
Dodgy Alternator? My P38 threw up solid ABS/TC fault lamps each time the Alternator went bad. Eventually the bad alternator caused the rev counter and speedo to switch on & off, was most disconcerting 0mph 0RPM, real values, 0mph 0rpm.
New alternator (after each time) and the faults all cleared. One was the original after 100k miles of service, the other was a brand new replacement after 1 year of use.
