Front lower arm rear bush

Hi all, looking at attempting to replace the rear bushes on the front lower suspension arm. Anyone know if this can be done without taking the arm out completely? Can’t seem to find any details on here or anywhere else. The bushes are available separately so hoping it will be any easy(ish) job.

Would have thought they would need pressing in, on the bench.
Why not just get a new arm, with the bushes already in place?

When I was looking at parts they list at around £400 each and the bushes were £40 the pair so seemed like a no brainer plus the fact you can get them made me think it might not be such a hard job

£400 - for a lower control arm?

I would get a good quality ‘oem’, but not a genuine LR.

Yes would seem I should have donealittle more research I have since found muddymods do an upgrade at £250 for the pair so will keep my fingers crossed I pass the mot then look into upgrading I guess

There's little point in replacing just the rear bushes, as the arm will be rusty, the ball joint will be worn, and the front bush will also be worn. You'll have to have a suspension alignment done for a rear bush, or a complete wishbone, so it makes sense to simply replace the whole assembly, and do both sides. That way only 1 alignment is needed, so offsetting the cost of the arms.

The rear bushes are usually so hard to remove it's only worth doing if the arms are good.
Replacement bushes will need pressing in unless you pay extra for the complete unit and this requires a press.
