I replaced the servo on my motor before the rebuild and the brakes were brilliant, much much better than they'd ever been. During the rebuild I replaced all of the brake lines and for a bit the brakes were still great but over the last few weeks I've no started getting intermittent problems with them. With the engine off it feels like I can build up decent pressure in the pedal but as soon as the engines started, especially first thing in the morning, I feel I need to pump the brakes a fair bit first to get any decent braking effect. The pedal goes down quite far and I can tell the brakes aren't as efficient as they had been. At times though the pedal feel and braking is excellent but more often than not it's soft and not as good. It's not losing any fluid, there's not a bawhair of air in the system and the vacuum is good. Any ideas? The master cylinder is probably original but id have thought if the seals were gone I'd notice fluid loss.
