You really are confusing yourself. ATM is 14.9 psi.
Gauges are set at 0 at ATM so it’s all a pressure above and equal on both sides so that doesn’t matter.

Was there any gunk in there? It’s in the bottom cylinder part, it opens up and there’s a filter in bottom looks like a tea bag

Yes. Weirdly she ran well as long as the tank was 1/2 full or more. When I saw the gunk I thought maybe the pump was OK but a test showed it to be dead.

Yes, you're right, it's just that some gauges I have aren't set a zero ATM! I know 1 bar is about 16, so near enough fr a guess.You really are confusing yourself. ATM is 14.9 psi.

One of the posts above says water pressure is 16 psi, that's quite high for a car engine. Some modern buses run at that pressure.

What we're saying is a standard 1atmosphere is 14.5psi. not 16, which is 1.1bar
100 metres above sea level would be 14.51psi so not a readable difference on a 'garage' gauge. Weather makes the pressure go up and down, but again nothing to worry about in this scenario.
Depending on the guage it will be zeroed at 1bar or show 1 bar if its going to be used where you might be reading a vacuum eg air-conditioning

I use one of those Amazon pressure tester kits. Wroks just as well for finding leaks, and to measure the normal running pressure.
