I couldn't be bothered with a car that caused me so much head scratching, the P38 is a paragon of reliability by comparison.
Does the reversing sensor detect whatever you're towing? that would drive me mad or, can you disable it manually?thanks. i think the DPF has been fudged rather than switched off because theres fake/static values in place.. presumably to tell the car never to regen, as opposed to say it doesnt have one. Unless thats the right way to do it?
specifically, i wanted to see why the reversing sensor doesnt switch off when towing electrics are plugged in.. i know its a small issue.. but thought it would be an easy fix
i tend to check DTCs every 2-3 months just because.. why not...

Yes but you can disable temporarily. If you're shunting then it's a pain

No, standard bulbs. The little trailer icon flashes so it knows it's plugged in to some degree
I think the trailer detection for the PDC relies upon the sidelight circuit(s), the indicator 'trailer' icon is a separate system that just works by detecting additional current draw. Try temporarily adding some extra load to the sidelight circuit, see if that triggers it.
