Just back from the hospital again. Xylia's settled into a really nice ward where she had a separate room and is being looked after by some very personable nurses, some of whom I've taught in the past. Yes it is cellulitis, seems to be the consensus. Indeed, it's an especially interesting case that they haven't seen before, particularly the involvement of facial tissues. So she's been looked at by quite a lot of doctors as they kept summoning their colleagues to have a look too. In some ways that's an advantage, because if I know anything about doctors, they like something which they think is technically interesting and challenging. Which implies that they'll be paying attention.

Only loved for the quality of the post.

You'll never believe this, but I had a freak experience putting my wellies on the other day. I put one on and realised it was on the wrong foot. Then I put the other one on and to my astonishment that was on the wrong foot too. What are the odds . . .

Evening all, tonight's dinner was a munchie box oot the chinky...ooofft too much for us.

Just back from the hospital where I've been with Xylia all night. They keep looking at her, putting tubes in her arms, taking samples of blood and taking her temperature. But we're not quite sure what's wrong. Painful joints and muscles, swelling and inflammation, especially her face. She thinks it's cellulitis, but nobody seems to be sure. Maybe more news today, once they analyse the blood samples. So we've spent around 9 hours sitting on plastic chairs in A&E, occasionally being called into consulting rooms for yet another blood sample. She's still there, but I've come home to take care of pets.

Nowt worse that waiting, best wishes. ;)
