Don't know how many have ever moved a Nooker table, but the slabs of slate are hugely heavy. Did one as a kid, with others obvs! Just managed to slide around doing another one a few years back.

Clarke towers has sprung a leak.
I have rainwater coming through the ceiling in the utility room.
There is a discharge downpipe off the main roof onto this roof and the heavy rain and wind is managing to push the water under the lead flashing on top of the tiles and it is getting into the ceiling void and finding its way through.
Bucket placed and it has stopped leaking for now; but for how long?
Not going out onto that roof in the dark and wet, maybe tomorrow.

This week has been a wee bit windy in general

Has been nice here for nearly a week we got loads done.

Eye want to make meself an 8x4 foot nooker table. Eye will mount this on top of a big wuk bench. What wood should eye buy to use for the bed? 8x4 sheet of 18mm ply or mdf? Both from wix.

Edit: eye is wondering which one will stay straight the longest and not bow.

You need to drill 18 holes in the wood it before the felt goes on, then in a years time you'll have a ready made miniature golf course.

out of the 2 i'd say MDF, brace it well underneath so it doesnt bend too much. when you put the baize on, you need to stretch it
ply is too uneven to start with

Id pick up a FREE 2nd hand wooden pool table for cheap n chop the legs off it.

I need a sheet of ply for wuk. One option is to go to wix and lift a sheet oft the pile and stand it on its edge, then look down it's length to see iffits bent. Eye fink that would show up any bends. Plan was to get the nooker table sheet at the same time as me wuk sheet so they both go on me roof rack together. Hoping they will bend less together.

Make one out of bricks so the wolf can’t blow it down
