I would just like to say

Sun shining now, typical it was drizzling when I was making the final cut on the final tile.
To add insult to injury, once I made it, a 3 cm square off the corner of a half tile, I lifted it off the tile cutter base and .....
....... a branch of an overhanging bush caught my hand and whicked out of my hand, to chip on the concrete slabs below. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
So I had to halve yet another tile and do it again.
So I am now left with exactly one whole tile and no halves. Can't believe I sailed so close to the wind! Still think of the dosh saved by nopt buying too many as they isn't cheap!:):):):):)
Having a break afore going back into battle and dealing with the edges before starting the grouting.:(

We did that.
I hate the flipping thing. As with all electrickery it has a mind of its own, and this is the second one since the first was replaced soon after purchase. And if you like cleaning you'll love it.
Funny hopw people like Lakeland sell so much stuff to protect its surface!;)
Give me gas every time, and there are ways of keeping the hob clean with one. (See Lakeland again!);)

And a Chicom or Russki EMP won't hinder its use. :D

Mines on a 13 amp plug so dosen't draw a lot of power, and it switches off when you lift the pan and comes on again when you put it back.
Dont forget pans have to be steel, if magnet dont stick it wont work..
Best hob I've had, and economical to run

Lots of pans will work on it, they often have layers of stuff on the bottom. Look on the box or label.
They are economical if gas is expensive.
In France where we use bottled gas, the gas hob is really cheap. Only replace the bottle every 2 years or so. so the equivalent of about £40 a year. Being plugged into the gas main makes gas more expensive. :rolleyes:
 
...today's welding has been awful.:oops:

I can't see where the weld-pool is forming (the welding helmet needs a new front glass and my eyes are bad); and the gas regulator is making an awful racket and the welding torch is screaming its head off.
I packed it in for the day. Ordered new front lens/glass and came in for a good sulk.:D
