Can anyone tell me if the rear floor has to be welded in or can it be screw'd or pop rivited i have ask'd my M O T man and he is not sure as the seat belts bolt through the floor not to it .Any help much appriacated. It is a 3 door 1992 200 tdi if this make's any difference. Ta

think you can get away with riveting and lashing loads of underseal under the floor to hide em.
you are supposed to weld it in i think but loads of mpeople go down the pop riveting route. i'm going to rivet mine, make it easier to change 12 months down the line when it's gone again

thats what i thought but every bit of info i can get off the net says spot weld because the boot floor is spotted as new, or rivet as the boot floors are that ****e that you will need to do it again.
think i might use velcro, that will save hours next time

If you're replacing the whole panel(not just boot floors but any body part) and it was spot welded originally you can spot weld the new one in. If you're cutting a rotten piece out it must be seam welded. MOT testers should know this stuff it's their job.

The floor on our last Disco was knackered, but MOT station would only pass it if floor was spot welded, hope that helps.
