What have you done on your 90/110/130 today?

Fitted a replacement safari door - it came with a working wiper motor and all the wiring intact including high level brake light - so it was correct spec for my Landy instead of the later Puma version that it came with. Well, all connected up and nothing works, plus it won’t close.

I gave up and drank Gin instead, plus I have a perfect but naked Puma door staring at me in the garage….

Will try again later in the week,

Well, the Door now shuts after ‘encouragement’ and much fettling.
High Level Stop Light works…
No HRW, that’s because the feckin Relay is missing….
Rear Wash Wipe is not playing yet - that’s for a warmer evening….

It’s coming along, but it’s a stubborn mule….

Last big job is the rear tub so got it inside and started stripping the lights etc off the back.

has anyone found the internal running strips for something like sensible money? I’ll deffo need 3 but ideally 5, but I can only find them for £30 each.
I think it’s part number 330615 or maybe RRC3945

Rear wash/wipe on my 90 blew the fuse yesterday, new 5 amp fitted and wash was good but wiper blew it straight away. Spindle seized so a good waggle with some penetrating oil did nothing :mad: Ok, prised off the gear cover and disconected the drive link, motor still wouldn't turn :mad: and getting warm now. :(:( Ended up stripping the whole motor out, cleaning up the magnetty wizzy contactey bits (not a scooby do what they're called), and after an age managed to get everything back together, the main problem being getting the brushes to fit the copper wizzy bit. Loads of grease all over the gears, new O ring and everything works again. Happy bunny.

Removed floors, tunnel to resolve the high/low problem.
Problem found, the fitting on the linkage has fell out. Unsure what it’s meant to be so a bolt/nylock/washers fitted.

now the error of my ways….
As my brain cell was not engaged I removed the floors etc when I could have just removed the middle seat inspection plate & saved myself an hours work. Oh well re greased all fittings and cleaned the footwells out & gaffer taped some holes back up

(now to find the linkage pin)

“Progress, not perfection”. HRW now works - mostly, several dead elements but no obvious breaks. Something better than nothing….

Lost feeling in fingers trying to find where the electricity has drained out of the Rear WashWipe circuit - good at fuse, dead at switch….

For another day as it’s too bloody cold…..
