Once watched a hooge cooling tower getting demolished. Just one massive ear splitting CRACK when the explosives went off, not like on the telly when it rumbles on a bit, and down it came. Over in a couple of seconds.

Scratching my head now to remember when I first did an overhead cam, cos I is so old most used to be in the block. Could actooly have been the Dolly Sprint. Or Ford Pinto engines in Cortinas.
Some are easier than others. the Sprint one actooly had a good way of connecting the cam sprocket to a bit of metal so you could keep the cam timing and the chain in place when you removed the head. (They must have known you were going to be removing and replacing the heads for a feckin pastime!!)
All good fun!!

Loved pinto engines snap a timing belt & re-aline the engine, fit a noo belt an off yer go.

I have discovered that the dogs' clocks are NOT radio controlled.

Mines got up at feck knows what time (i didnt look) she must have known there was a hedgehog
on the patio scoffing cat food. I had to wait until it had buggered off before I could let her out for
a widdle.

Got a bit of welding done to my trailer yestiday the thing is when im at the house working outside
I get loads of visitors as peeps want to know what im doing, tis nice tho but feck all work gets done.

Dont think I'll be doing any welding today by the looks of it, Ive got a race type gazebo over the
trailer but its blowing the rain sideways.

Gasless hell no feck that just turn the gas up higher when outside, If its really winday I can
use my inverter welder.

I received my invite for the booster jab - 18.40 , almost forty miles drive just to get there, that's an hour at the best estimate assuming I do not get stuck in the evening home-going traffic. At best, I would have to leave home about 5pm and not get back until gone 8pm - all driving done in the dark - something I have been advised not to do for the last few years because of the growing cataracts.

I have declined the appointment as I believe offering it at that time to people like me who are in the 75-80 yrs stage in life is unreasonable, especially as they ask people to attend unaccompanied! Not that I could have done that.

My new welder is a gas / gasless or stick inverter (Blackline 200) so I have options

I think it is perfectly reasonable. Will they let you rebook?
