Perhaps nobody knew the answer to your questions.
As far as your question about are CV boots the same is this of any help? ( Sorry, but you'll have to go through it yourself to see if the part numbers are the same as I know precisely nothing about your model) Lrcat

Seems to be loads of posts being answered. Almost on a daily basis.including #1 on this thread ;)

Addit: Just wondering: is this thread a p take? It cannot be serious, maybe just a fishing trip. If so, I will bite.
Almost 6 years , 9 posts , the first of which the OP claims "am quite knowledgeable and skilled in the repair and maintenance of Landover vehicles, if I can be of assistance to anyone please feel free to ask".
4 of which are then to ask questions
Soooo that makes 1 to say knowledgeable, 4 to start threads to ask questions, 2 more inside a thread to ask more questions.
That's 7 so far without sharing his knowledge and skill , in any of the thousands? of questions posted since joining. Maybe the other 2 were responses to questions?
Still a bit of a bloody cheek to get stroppy, with that track record.

Takes the hook back out, steals the bait and swims off. ;)

HelloMark,
No not done yet but its been on back burner as i had the delightful task of replacing front subframe, think its ecu so will get one and replace, seems like I have upset a little nest of internet trolls ie "blue bee sting" and his lamentable little group of keyboard warriors dont know why and certainly wasn't being stroppy as stated just passing honest comment, ah well guess LR ownership not the same group it used to be, present company excepted

To be fair, complaining on a forum that you rarely comment on that there isn't many comments is a lot more troll like than pointing out the irony :p

Only keyboard warrior here is you. I'll happily say to your face what I wrote here. Which is more than some on here would do,
Admit you were bitching and move past. This post just shows you to be a one hit wonder who doesn't like it pointed out. How would you know what the group is like, or was like, when you have never been part of it. Unless you have been a lurker, taking all the help offered ,daily, by the guys and girls on here, but giving nothing.
You're now at 10 posts in 6 years and despite claiming to be knowledgeable you have only given one helpful post, and ignored thousands of pleas for help. You have only ever taken. You have turned up when you wanted something. Then, months later, after your posts were lost in the thousands of posts, and hundreds of pleas for help, you threw a strop, because you never got an answer. Did I mention you answered none of the pleas for help from others,.
Unlike your Billy Big B°°°° introduction post few on here have ever claimed to be knowledgeable, though many are incredibly so, but we all try to help where we can.
You were being stroppy and your latest post is still stroppy and bitchy. So you can go to the naughty step and join the other grown men, in the keyboard kindergarten, bitching and mouthing off online but wouldn't dare do it in real life.

P.s if you don't like my reply TOUGH! Quit bitching and no-one will be able to call you out on bitching. It really is that easy.

Has it occurred to you that at the time of posting a question there may not be anyone free to read or answer your post? Perhaps you should search first as mentioned earlier then post your question with a little more appreciation for the help you seek! Just a thought.
Back to the ignition switch of which you asked about, I had a similar issue and started by applying a little penetrating fluid in the switch before tearing the dash apart. Remarkably after some jiggling and making sure there was at least 13 volts in the battery it started to work again, took about 48 hours wait though.
Let us know how you get on and if you still need assistance. Don’t be lead by fault codes they can be a blind ally if your battery is low.
Cheers Tricky :)
