Reminds me of what happened to an ex-colleague of mine. They were buying a new house off plan and had got everything organised to move in the day they sold their previous place.
But something went wrong on the new build so the company had to put them up in a hotel. They lived in the honeymoon suite of a very posh place for at least 6 weeks if memory serves. At the beginning they quite liked it but, what with having to go out to work every day bar weekends etc, and all their stuff nearly being in storage, plus eating hotel food.it drove them round the bend in the end.
(Perhaps I shouldn't have posted this.)

...well that's a fecker and no mistake.
I have been lucky it seems. My C2-C1 vertebrae are displaced/dislocated significantly (The Christopher Reeve Injury).
However, this is NOT the news I was looking for. It may not be fixable, and there are many other problems to boot.
I probably should change my user name to Quasimodo as I have a dowager hump developing in my upper back.
It is an embÜggeration for sure.

Not met any of these fine folks mentioned here either @Turktowner but we all seem to have a kindred spirit about things and our struggles, so we are all good in my book.
Many thanks for all of your kind considerations, they are much appreciated from you all. I am of the opinion that if we "give-in" we will "go-under" and I am not ready to go back to the mud just yet.
