Well this a.m. was drizzly, so we ate in, not out, in the Brasserie by the river, which has only been open for two weeks. Then it brightened up considerably until we got hot doing all the unpacking and putting away.
Wifey now has so much cider we cannot see anything else on some shelves.
Just had a video call with dottir who tells us my licence has finally arrived, she thinks, as she didn't want to open the envelope without my say so. But something in there feels like a bit o plastic.
so that'll be winging it's way here, just hope it don't get lost.
Oh and Leclerc Auto----- feck off big place withevery thing under the sun to clean and polish the car with plus cr@p to put in your engine to make it pass the Control Technique. etc etc etc. Shelves of stuff.
But brake grease? Shrug. Nope.
Mind you, prolly the same in Halfrauds.
Will get onto tinternet and look for a bike shop, they'll have it. ;)
Have a good end to the day folks!:):):)

Afternoon folks:)

Today has been a mixed day, Plenty sun, bit of rain, but very little success in the garage:(.

As a side note, Iam still standing so good day overall:D. and I will have another go tomorrow.

Yep it is good to practice standing!
Although as Churchill said, "Never stand when you can sit, and never sit when you can lie down."
Which is what I practise as far as poss!!;););)

Good idea, I will get in touch with her straight away about that!

Just spent a while getting angrier and angrier with my "new" mobile phone trying, quite simply, to dial a number on it!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Each time I try to dial a number it insists I make a new contact, and when I do, including the 00 44, it still doesn't seem to enter it. So i fail to make the fecking call.
Ferocious doesn't cover it.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
So in the end I get wifey to read the number out while I make the call on the landline.
Course she isn't there, so I have to leave a message.:rolleyes:
BLOODY SMART PHONES! nOT SMART AT ALL.
Should have used my old mobile which you open it, have a number pad, you dial the number, job done.!!!!!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Rant over!;)

Despite me trying to make the number on a "new contact", it kept giving me the number as if I was dialling it from inside the UK.
THEN I discovered the number, from France, "hiding" under the Brit number, I'd have had to touch a tiny little arrow to reveal it.
Thanks for trying to "help" dickhead phone!
Why oh Why can it not simply give me a keypad and allow me to dial a number?
Is that so difficult?

I'll end up having to order the manual for it.
So much for "user friendly".:(:(:(

...that I am back from the second day of hell in the bathroom of despair. :)
The old gal now has:
  • A new & fully working "non-leaking" toilet (whole room still smells of p155 though). I will get my wife to go clean it thoroughly at the weekend.
  • A new set of easy-on/off 1/4 turn lever-taps on her hand basin.
  • A new & working night-rate immersion heater for the DHWS.
  • A new ball valve in the CWS cistern.
  • The hole where the old shower was embedded in the wall tiled over with the pipes for the new shower protruding through.
  • All pipework for the new shower run and connected (but isolated).
Tomorrow I will fit the new shower mixer on the tiles and to the pipes that are protruding through the wall.
She's totally mystified as to all the work that has had to be done for such small changes and so is a little under-appreciative of all the hard work that has gone in (I feel).
But she's 92 this year and so she gets a free pass. ;)

Get applised Stan it "sometimes" makes sense:D

Its a school day every day in life:D.

After having gone to the trouble of paying out for this Android and getting to understand some of its quirks, I was getting quite happy with it. It has my Covid status on it and i can print from it direct.
Can use the internet on it and send emails, etc etc.
Which is better than Wifey's iPhone which can't print unless she emails me what she wants printing. (She don't want to pay the premium for Air-Print).
I will just have to feckin persevere, and preferably when not under pressure.
But the price of decent second-hand iPhones is prolly more than the £80 I paid for this thing!
If I wanted one I'd have got one via my nephew who manages a shop like this.
