Possible 1.8 head gasket issue.

So I'm using water, never a good sign. However there doesn't seem to be any in the oil and the last owner changed the head gasket and has done the mod on the thermostat (along with a lot of other things) Now wondering what to keep an eye out for.

Inlet manifold seal (it's a plastic O ring type seal), which is known to leak.

Isn't the inlet manifold assembly a string of o' rings connected together (LKJ101110L) or where you referring to the thermostat seal PEF10010? Thanks.

The inlet manifold gasket is a string of elastomer O rings.
