Put fuse back in this morning. Didn't make any difference to all the other faults
Tonight I'm leaving the fuses in. Let's see what happens

Had a look at pics on my phone earlier still not sure what meant to be looking for, seeing as you have shown us your dash here`s mine, I reset consumption 2 before a cross country round trip of 30 miles and thats mpg I got as requested by @dwarfer.

yes i have the icarsoft lr v 2.0, there is an earlier model not to be cofused with which isnt as in depth as v 2.0
its well made and does a lot of stuff, shows offsets, but wont calibrate eas, i have the foxwell ( a@ kds) and inpa for that
very good tool, i bought mine on the results from benn elliot l322 from youtube land, hes got td6 and tdv8 and other stuff!

The comparison game was between the pics yesterday, and the pic the day before

So change of back ground colour, on the foxwell security section it lists body control unit and steering column.

Nope not just colour. It had a little fit, went blue*, and decided all I could have was DSP.
Took fuses out, when put back in, usual colour came back and a couple of functions but not all.

* blue is not a colour option in settings.

Hi @dwarfer weather is better than on the day you asked. Temperature has climbed up to a totally tropical four degrees, and wind has dropped to 28mph. So all is good.
Does your Icarsoft lr V2.0 allow access to security settings?

i braved the wet and took a couple of pics inside the car with the icarsoft lr v 2.0 connected, they might not be in the correct order, it has good coverage from the 02 05 rr right upto to late models, plus the other lr too.

Thank you so much. Now I need to impose on you again. Could you show me what it lets you do once in security.
I am trying to find out if I can see whether or not the read coil is reading my key properly. There are apparently 3 options, all ok, key cloned or someone trying to steal her. If the lr V2.0 lets me in to security to read whether she is reading the key. I will buy one, as it may help with present issues.

Talking of which, today she decided to light up the EAS button, which has been off for over a week. It does however have the lock on permanently.
Oh and the memory seats are back, but the auto-telescoping is not.

Foxwell nt 530, security, body control unit, told me I had key 2 in other day when I had a look (its the key I changed to flip key) will have a look tomorrow with other key see if it tells me key 1.

Whoever has 'something sodding else' may just get the lollipop. If you have that AND check the stereo Goldie you're heading for two lollipops.
Can't say for sure, as she has not been back to the guys who put the new replacement head unit in. However, getting fed up with all the issues, especially when she sat for one night and then refused to start, I decided to remove the stereo fuses when parking up. Which has helped.
This is the first time in weeks that she hasn't been used every day. So waiting to see what happens when I use her tomorrow or Thursday. If she starts then stereo is draining.
Which will answer one question. However, the issue with the ignition barrel remains, and still needs an answer.
Which reminds me. Did whoever the kind person with Icarsoft lr V2.0 ever manage to find out if it allows access to security? Thanks

i did do a check, i can get in security/ alarm and i can check the box when i press the key, it can see when i press the key,

Thanks @dwarfer . I shall be biting the bullet then. I need to check if it the read coil is the issue and seems only way to know is to use diagnostics to get into security.

So just to add, Foxwell nt 530, security, body control unit, all data, unlock button pressed yes/no, lock button pressed yes/no, tailgate button pressed yes/no. As you press each button the message in the box changes to pressed, now the thing is at the moment I only have one key with a working remote and chip and thats the one that shows me pressing said buttons , my other key has a chip in it but the remote side of it does kind of work in that it shows red light when pressing buttons but is very hit and miss and will not unlock the car using the remote but it will let me unlock the car using the key in the door (only drivers door unlocks) and unlock the steering column and start the car that key shows nothing on foxwell when buttons pressed but it works car if that all makes sense. I did get the kind of working remote to work when I bought the car as you need one working remote key to be able to program a second remote (you need to do both one after the other ) as I upgraded to a flip key so @gold rover is your problem the key not being recognized and not unlocking the column or the remote central locking not working on the remote ?
