Been scanning ebay today and found a nice looking black P38 up for sale for £9500. Does anyone know the car at all or its current owner??. He mentions its just had a 4k refurb this year on it too and says it used to be owned by Virgin Atlantic airlines as a chauffer car so most likely had lots of naughty goings on in the back. LOL. 7 previous owners and only 78k on the clock which i find hard to believe TBH unless of course he has the cars entire history to prove.

I have asked the usual questions as lots not mentioned and await a reply. The car is located in Buckinghamshire area ( Little Bissenden ) which is quite a famous and affluant area. Lots of famous folk have lived and died there too.
Car looks nice and has a few nice extras fitted too albeit i still think its a tad overpriced for a P38.

Cheers in advance

I dont ever remember any black ones.... not to say they Wert any, look at the back bumper it should have 2 blanks in the bumper if it was, and they just had 5k on the clock before they were turned around for new ones, most were DSE as well

Just had a look at it, interesting that you don't remember black ones ;)
As seller is claiming they were all black : "It is believed that the first owner of this car was Virgin Atlantic airlines, where they used it for their Upper Class customer chauffeur service. All their Range Rover chauffeur vehicles were a rare specification: java black paintwork."
Interesting use of "it is believed" :)

100% not true, I don't remember any black ones, most were Oxford blue, some (very occasionally red and some V8 ones but not many at all 5 over 7 years) like I say the 2 blanks on the back give it away, the crawly licence plates were screwed onto the bumper with 2 screws, that's how you can tell

There speaks a Dopey who knows ;) :D

Apart from the side steps none had the extras

factory tinted windows and sidesteps - all of which this car was fitted with from new. In addition it also has factory-fitted light guards front and rear, and front spot lamps.

Little Missenden? Not far from me in the Chilterns. It'd have to be pretty mint with all the big jobs completed to be worth that much.

£9500 is far too much money for ANY P38 unless it is a Linley or a Holland and Holland 40,000mi minter..
