P38A Radio buzz

I have to get round and do this on mine got exactly the same issue!

Any tips on doing this? Just patience and perseverance?

Tbh, I've just left mine unplugged for now until I get the time to sort it.

Issue may not be related at all but to stop my radio interference I've added ferrites to the looms of the LED lights I'd just fitted. You could try adding ferrites to the radio power supply - can't hurt.

Was posted before, but here's how to resolve the footwell connector problem.

1. Look at the wires in the plugs. Should all be different colours, and same colour pin-socket each side of the connector
2. Then check somebody hasn't tampered previously, and figure out what.
3. Cut the offending connectors off.
4. Solder each wire to its matching colour (remembering to slide the heat shrink over first !!
5. Have a beer when done.

Like i said, i did the footwell connectors, no change...replaced the perfect looking amp, which i inspected with a magnifying glass and job done...

Is the head unit original or aftermarket ? If the latter, then the installer has probably bodged the wiring.

Original High Line HU should have 10-way C224B from the radio, with a pair of wires to each amplifier. Check the continuity from this to each door amplifier. They are a balanced pair, so a break in either will cause buzz, but the audio might still work.

Also check Pin-6 on each door amplifier is properly grounded. All four amps have different ground points !!
