Hope everybody has had a good weekend:)

Popped to our local eatery today as its thier last day of the season and they are now closed till May:( but it was lovely still sitting outside. Then home to watch MotoGP :).

Got trailer ready for test this week and the "mudball" battery on charge. MOTs (well BG equivalent) for 2 vehicles and 3 trailers next week:) hoping for a clean sheet for all. Thats for Wednesday.

Enjoy whats left of the day folks:)

He can drive ok int heels. Bin doing it fer yeers.

@Marmaduke
Me mankini traps me nuts when I sit down though but heels or platforms are the way to go :D
No trailer is referred to as solo or bobtail up these parts, our scannys usually set off in 5th then 7th, 9th, 11th then 12th. Still only go 53 flat out though with or without a trailer

Mowed the lawn and filled the wheelie bin, got to empty the wood out of bobb so I can buy some doors from wickes. I hate hanging doors :(

Today has been a little less successful than I would have liked but never mind. ;)
I have Moved the scaffold tower 4 times in order to get things done that needed to be done.
I have also now taken the very top section of the scaffold tower off completely as I am now working below-eaves height.
The wood-butchered bits that were undercoated yesterday have a coat of gloss on them at last.
The gutter has been cleared out and the slipped tile repositioned.
The soffits under the gable on either side have been cleaned up and given a coat of undercoat.
What is really slowing everything down is the need to wait 16 hours between coats. Its as boring as err.... watching paint dry. ;)
The corbels that support the gable have been washed and scraped and undercoat applied to any bare wood (gloss them tomorrow I hope).
I am totally frazzled. :(
I hope your day's have all gone better than this. :D

Don't be frazzled, you have made a shedload of progress on what must be an uncomfortable and frustrating job. :):):)

Arternoon all.
Add a storm lass nite so puter etc had to be disconnected an unplugged.
Nowt to report, bit o paytin dun but ran out o meths so can't do eny today. Shame!
DIY place in Frogland never open on Sunday.
And afore ye ask, Zinzer BIN!
Whats up wiv @kevstar?
Im not been round much last coupla days.
Busy making more dosh, I'd say.:D

...that I am heartily sick of this decorating malarkey. :(
Just finished. Been up and down that sodding scaffold all ruddy day.
It has been moved back & forth across the front of the house at least 4 times.
The under-gable soffits are now gloss black, the corbels are painted, the mock timber beams of the 3 panels of the bay in between the lower and upper windows are all stripped prepped, stabilised and undercoated for glossing tomorrow.
Its funny how one can get press-ganged into "assisting" with family house renovations that last weeks on end and yet when you are in the midst of your own DIY the feckers all disappear into the woodwork and are far too tied up in their own lives to provide any assistance.

I agree, decorating is a disease.
As for the unwilling other family members I think I'd try showing them a copy of your will (fake if nec) showing them you're leaving it all to the cat's home or those "those who can prove they spent at least 100 hours a year helping out with our DIY projects" all documented of course!
Anway, pleased to see you have made so much progress despite it obviously getting to you.
My 1928 house did not have so much of that awkward work!
