i bought a 100 amp one from a 300 tdi to fit on my 200 tdi and it would not fit without major mods not just changing the pully but also the engine bracket. I didnt bother in the end and just put a 65 a on mine so....... i have a brand new alternator for sale cost £142.97 + vat from paddocks (Alternator Magneti Marelli A127 100amp - 300TDI ) I had it for 2 months and when i got round to trying to fit it i just couldnt be bothered with all the farting around to get it in and then tried to send it back to paddocks but it was after the 28 days and wouldnt take it back so i am looking to sell it for £120 inc postage. pm me if any one is intrested.

Well thats why i bought one for myself to but just couldnt get it fitting right so i took it of and bought a 65 amp one that goes straight on. wouldnt mind so much but i am a mechanic and still couldnt get the bloody thing on. If you manage it can you post some pic as that would be very helpfull.

Cheers Adam

Yea
Someone (who shall remain nameless) told me that it could be done, but it can't. In attempting to modify it, I wrecked it. It's now in me dustbin!

how wrecked is it? i would be interested as i intend to buy 300 once my 90 has sold (see for sale section :D) i would also need an uprated alt as the winch and fridge and tablet pc will all be sucking the batts dry!
