With no rods connected to the latch, even though door isn't locked as such, it's not going to open.

Do a search on YouTube about accessing a locked P38. You will find one showing how to remove the rear door quarter light. Seems easy and can be done without breaking the glass or the rubber.

Found it.

Hello all,
Thanks for all the messages while I was away. The heat was getting to me yesterday so I walked away from it and had a look this morning. I managed to get into it by removing the outer window trim and then sliding a welding rod down and using that to press onto the latch lever which would normally be connected to the door handle connecting rod.
I have managed to resync my remote and the engine is now turning over but it will not start. I have checked the spark plugs and I am getting a spark but it still not not fire into life. Has anyone got any clues on what might be causing this?
Edit** I have taken a couple of the plugs out and they seem dry. I am thinking the injectors are not working??
My P38 is a 97 4.6L HSE.

BECM lost sync with ECM.

BECM lost sync with ECM.

I noticed a couple of people mention this when I was searching threads. How do I get them to sync again?
I would love to get it running again but it's getting close to just putting the forklift underneath it to move it.

Annoying thing is, it was running fine when I parked it up a couple of years ago.
I was hoping I could just put a battery on it and it would run again.
