Hi

Check the wiring loom in the cam is not leaking oil to your ecu, i had the same problem, after a new loom fitted, all was ok.

There are plenty of reasons for the SLABS ecu to fault, you can mess around for hours but the ONLY way to find out what has gone wrong is to stick it on Testbook and read the codes, till then you are wasting drinking time.

Have heard of this problem & it seems to be common but guess what apparently LR have brought out a service item to add to the main module to get over this so ask a dealer if they know about it

Hi Rob-No he hasn`t fixed it yet,I believe it is booked in to go on the computer or whatever to find the fault in the next week or two.I will let you know when I hear anything.
Regards Chris

Saw my mate this evening the fault with his warning lights was caused by a dirty sensor on the traction control, which was put right, lasted about 2-3 weeks, and went again.Any one had the same problem?
Chris

Yes this happened to me , initially the garage cleaned sensor which lasted 2 to 3 days so took it back and they had to fit a new sensor. This was a bit of a job as the mechanic had to run new cabling for the new sensor, about 4 hours if I recall, but this was all under warranty , It has been fine for last 8 months touch wood.
I seem to remember a thread that said the faulty sensor output can be caused by wear on the swivel housing where it fits and you need to replace the whole unit ££.

Maybe I'm lucky, but when the three amigos paid a visit I went to my local independent Landy dealer - Swinfield Cooper. They put it on the test and "reset" the sensors. Took all of five minutes and has been fine since.

When I got the fault initially they reset it with the puter but 3 days later the kerb on my drive was keen to Fcuk this up and it threw the lights on again ,( Just before MOT ) so the dealer reset it again and it came back on when he was on a test drive so he replaced the sensor ( under warranty ) and it has been fine since although the Traction control flicks on every time I go onto the lane ( F*c****g DOE). But been good for MOT and for last 8 months since.

I ve had the 3 amigos come on after having new pads front and rear from a quick fit type place.
Took it to my indepenent garage
they reset faults and found one pad not seated right.
3 days later, 3 lights back on
this time a new wheel sensor
drove it 4 miles from the garage and 3 lights back on!
traction abs etc not working(tested in snow)
is it likely they ve not fitted sensor right? they had to solder new sensor in, i thought they d be plug ins.
could it be they not positioned it right so readin air gap?
won t be going quick fit place again, new pads also ruined as they didn t tell me the discs were had it, ripped the new pads up
anyone tried the britpart performance disc/pads sets, seen some on ebay

The three Amigos are lodging with me at the moment, very unwelcome guests.
I have become very pally with a Land rover Independent garage Owner as of late.
Took The Old Gal in yesterday and hooked it up to the computerized etch a sketch.
ABS sensor intermittent electrical fault near side front.
Chap reckons a new ABS overlay sensor is required.
Something about existing wiring suspect underneath the wing,so this iffy wiring gets by passed.
Hopefully will be done this side of the weekend

The three amigos have turned up on my doorstep :( don't know what to do but need it sorting asap as want to sell my disco ..........

its your wheel bearing no doubt, sorry not cheap

Very debatable It could be one of Several things....Best bet is hook it upto a Diagnostic tool / Nanocom/Testbook/Hawkeye etc.

Do the lights go out if you turn it off and re-start?

it used to bong 3 times, they used to go out if you switched the engine off then restarted it, but now they stay on all the time and no more bongs
