is it possible to uprate my Land Rover so I can tow a big hobby caravan?
the caravan is longer and wider so needs a higher rated tow vehicle, I don't fancy having to buy a twin rear wheel can to tow it with, I seem to be at a loss trying to keep it all road legal.
it isn't for the weight of the caravan its the physical size, it exceeds 7 meters, so a standard 110 won't legally be able to tow it!

thanks in advance

You say it exceeds 7m you sure you are measuring it right? How have you moved it previously?

What do hobby recommend?

Hobby don’t recommend anything sort from paying for a delivery, people have bought twin rear wheel vans for moving them.

I haven’t bought it yet, it’s over 7 meters hence it needs a a higher weight, lots of debates on caravan forums what to use normally a big a van.
Would rather prefer to use my Land Rover

Hitch up the 110
Drive half a mile.
Develop a fault with the 110 - not difficult, many to choose from:p
and let the nice man from the local Recovery operation tow it to your destination.:)
Fix the 110:rolleyes:
simples! :D

Did you read my post gothbiker ? With out the A frame in the measurement the caravan should be within the legal limit.
New vin plates? The only time I know of is when original has been damaged/ lost and then it has to be the same as the original and matches chassis.
There are no modifications I know of needed for a 110 to tow a caravan/Trailer under 3500kg. How wide is it ? Over the limit.
