I am having an issue lining up the bolt to the hole on the new upper chain rail. See photo. The rail is clicked onto the rod next to FIP inside but rail seems too long.

Can anyone advise please?

Thanks

Make sure you turn the engine over by hand at least twice to make sure nothing is amiss timing wise, don't want to find the cam timing is out and the valves meet the pistons at a fair rate.:eek::D
Once had that on an engine years ago, its not pretty and cost a lot of money and time. Always air on the side of caution

Yep will turn by hand a few times.
Don't suppose anyone knows what torque they need to be tightened to?
Couldn't find.

Don't know but if they are going into ally then it won't be a lot. Use a little Loctite and nip them up rather than risk doing a DT on them!

@RangeRoller dt

Is the DT for Dangerously Tight or Destructively Tight?

Anyone know what this sensor is? I changed temp send further back and oil sensor on filter?

Does anyone know nut size for glow plug electrical connections please?

Either m4 or m5 mine seem to have disappeared

On thanks the other one on there seems to be a temperature sensor also ECU?
First one, brown single pin or blue twin pin with air con, dash gauge sensor. Second one, green ECM temp sensor. Third one, black overheat sensor, fitted 1999 and on.
