Eye as news. Ah beer dad ergen. Eye put me plastic tub er wurms darn ter see if eye could get me bobbin ter eated wurms frommit so eye can then old it int me paw un it feeds frommit ergen. He hadder quick luk when eye were filling me baffs but when eye turned slightly the water noise change un he flowed oft. Eye were 2 foot fromt me tub un he gorrid as close ter 6 hinch. He kept lukkin ut me un hoppin frompt side ter side. Teven stud ont me bricks. He went back whenseye were darn gardin.

Anyways... whenseye were darm me gardin wotchin un messin wiv me phone thar beer little brown burd porigin ont stone chippin path er head oft me. Ah dun't fink it spotted me as eye be still. Layter ont thar wos free lil burds oppin between trees. Ah beer prowd parent burreye dun't know where they nest tis or wot they be. If they be ouse trained they can stay int me spare rum.

At this time of the year, you might have to be provider of electric blankets or at the least, hot water bottles! The sparrows up under the eaves on the apex of my roof are still in residence and are making one hell of a mess down below! I pity anyone who comes to the front door.:)

As you mention it, I was just thinking that robins breeding in January is unusual, unless he lives somewhere with a sub tropical climate.
It does seem to be an unusual spring, though, lot of buds swelling on the trees round London.

Yes, far too warm. Here, the snowdrops are in full bloom and my Witch Hazel has almost come to the end of its season, but the biggest surprise is the Camelia which already has three flowers blooming happily. We're going to pay for it, I tell you, we're going to pay for it.:eek:

We are definitely doomed.
But to be honest, I don't mind a mild winter. :)

Been a bit of a strange winter this year. Before Christmas was pretty horrible, not very cold, but felt it, with constant rain and strong winds.
Then in January, there have been a few days of frost, but very still and dry, not stormy at all.
Last year was different, fairly pleasant autumn, then it got very warm and sunny by February, and then in March there was 2 inches of ice on the cut for a week, then it warmed up a bit again.
Not sure what to expect now, but at least the daylength is improving.

You can get purpose made covers. But I don't like them. They catch the wind, impair visibility, and you have to fold them down to go under bridges.
If I need to move in bad weather, I just put my waterproofs on, and stand in the rain.
