Freelander 1 td4 MAF saga

Hi everyone,
I am now having a more or less common issue with the MAF.
No power under 2kish rpm, everything else in order, low signal and some random obd error regarding it made me decide to change it.
I've ordered the genuine bosch one, which failed after two months, I am back to above symptoms.
I will have to return it.
Is there a recommendation on brand or pn I can put to close this chapter? Synergy is tempting but I'm not a big fan of any modifications. My insurance feels the same.

Yes they always seem ok, the R40 boys have purchased a few from these fellows, maybe you have just dropped on a faulty one, 5yr warranty so get it sent back, I am sure they will send one out asap. did you also add a new air filter at the same time, if not it's best to when changing a MAF.

Yep, I did. All filters were changed, including oil.
I kept thinking this failing after a few months and less than 1000 miles and that suspicious price...
Also no response from them, I had to open a paypal case.

I see now I would have thought they would have responded right away, so maybe there could be something going on with these Bosch MAF of them if so they will soon be dropped by the R40 members please do let us know the out come from them.

Yep, got the genuine one. Still bosch but with BMW mark.
And yes, was the maf faulty. I still get 320mg/inj on idle but with this one the increase is accurate and goes up to 900ish.
"Old" one barely moved from 300 to 500.
Not a case of buy cheap buy twice, just bad luck I guess. RTG behaved nice, sent me a label to ship the old one back, however will seek refund not replacement since I've lost confidence.
MAF saga ended for me, at least at this time.
