hello, all I have a 2006 Range Rover HSE. I love love love it. However, today driving home from work, the automobile went into extend position. I disabled the battery for a few minutes, reenabled it, turned the steering wheel back and forth with no progress. Next I removed the fuses hoping to find my car in the right position in the morning. If it’s not, what else do I need to do to correct the problem? I cannot drive less than 30 mph!! I prefer going much faster!!

As you all can see I am a little discombobulated by all this my typing is terrible!!
So are your manners.Try saying please when asking strangers for help. Especially free help. Then try the search bar,
Other than that welcome.

P.s When you posted it was 0049hrs, most are in bed, over here, at that time.Maybe a thought to keep for future posts.

Hi Nancy. You need diagnostics on it to find out what is going on. Three pages of misinformed speculation that may follow won't usually cut the mustard.

I meant to say please. I’m usually very polite, just unfortunately not yesterday’s when I posted that. I was so messed up by my car not working appropriately. Please forgive. I did not mean to be rude.

No worries. :) Just sometimes it gets a bit wearing when the guys and girls try so hard to help and people seem to forget that it's real people sitting at the other side of the keyboard.
As @wammers said , we do need diagnostics. Without it , it's all just blind guessing. If you don't have your own, or know someone with, there are 4 options: Buy some, it'll pay for itself in the end, or see if someone can recommend a decent auto-electrician, with correct system, or take it to the stealers, not recommended, or you could post in Regional LZers forum, and see if there is someone near you, who could help you out.

Landyzone International Rescue Map will show volunteers who will read your faults, usually in return for cake. We do have members in the States but not sure how many have diag.

Don't know about the L322 but the P38 tends to rise up occasionally when a fault is stored.

The P38 never levels upwards when parked with or without a stored fault, only leaks from the valves as found on another thread can result in the suspension rising when parked. It will go to wade height with some faults and may then subsequently drop to the bump stops on many occasions.

I believe OP said it went to extended height while driving home?

He did indeed, that's is often a sign of corrosion in the white connectors at the foot of the N/S a post. I cut those connectors out on my project car some months ago for that very problem, until today it had cured the problem, today it decided to rise again:mad: Thinking it might be the height selector switch itself. It never drops to access as usually occurs with a hard fault. Need to put the diagnostics on ASAP.

This one is an L322 though. Not sure if it behaves the same way. You're right about diag though. AllComms or 4Dcan might do it.
