Certainly when I've left it overnight, I've not timed exactly how long it takes to drain
It's always been on the fourth press from day one though

Turn off ign, pump brake pedal several times to diminish any stored pressure, then switch ign on. The pump should run for approx 10 seconds. Any longer and your accumulator sphere has lost it's ability to store pressure. Press the brake pedal and let go, does the pump start immediately? If so, again, the sphere is knackered.
No need to reduce pressure to test, just count the number of times the brake pedal can be pressed before the pump runs. First run of the day is about 30 seconds and then about 10 seconds every 5th or more brake pedal operations.

Well whaddaya know, I was wrong!

Well, at first I wasn't, but now the new sphere has settled in I press the pedal 4x and the motor runs for about 7 or 8 seconds!!

But since I replaced the CV joint I'm hearing a "scuff scuff scuff" sound when braking. It's coming from the front right side... I imagine it's one of the pads. I may have put them in the wrong side (not that it matters a whole lot, but they will wear at different rates due to the pot pushing and the caliper pulling so if I put the pot pad on the caliper side and so forth....). It's just a bit irritating o_O

Other than that, so far all is well...

I give it around 45 minutes :p

Should wear at the same rate either side.

Ok. New accumulator fitted. Full system bleed ( did it excessively to remove old fluid which was a horrible dark colour, obviously not been changed in ages!) now all nice new fluid. RAVE followed to the letter.
Now pressurises after about 20-30 sec, but still still comes on every 2nd or 3rd press ?

N/s rear piston is sticking I think. So brake strip and clean this weekend. Also bleed nipple on that calliper was completely blocked with crap!! Didn’t let anything out. Cleaned it through and bled it, but fluid very reluctant to flow freely from it, unlike others. Definite strip and seals needed.

All ABS sensors in properly. But Still shows ABS fault on dash when turned on, ABS light still on all the time though. Still nothing shows on Nanocom?

Assume dodgy n/s calliper isn’t helping matters? More I think of it, local Jrs4x4 Landy specialist sells two rear new callipers fo £46 so may just replace both and be done with.

Just need to get ABS light sorted as mot due next month.

ABS light isn't going out when you get over 5mph?
